It's National Cheeseburger Day 2015, and since we do love our cheeseburgers we know you want to know where the deals, freebies and discounts are so you can eat well this Friday.

First, though, let us remind you that we went in search of your favorite cheeseburger in our region readers helped us picked the winner. What we learned, also, is that we have a lot of good cheeseburgers. So take a trip down cheeseburger lane here.

As for deals and discounts, the popular chain Johnny Rockets is giving away a free hamburger (no, not a cheeseburger, but you can add the cheese!) if you sign up here. You will get the free hamburger instantly, Johnny Rockets says, after the online sign up (instantly as in, you get the coupon, then, you have to get into a location.)

Some other chains have deals as well, including White Castle, which has $2 off any 20 sliders at participating stores (this deal lasts through September 30, 2015. You will have to print this coupon out online.

Some other deals, according to our friends at ibtimes.com:

"DogHaus shops, which are mainly clustered in California, will let you upgrade your burger from a single to a double for free on Friday, instead of paying the normal $1.99 fee.


JerryBuilt Homegrown Burgers near Houston, Texas, will serve the classic and Jerry's burgers for $5, instead of $7.50.

The newly opened BurgerFi in Latham, New York, will give a free sundae to anyone who buys a burger and drink between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.

In Chalmette, Louisiana, customers who buy a burger meal from Brewster's can receive a free drink."

Applebee's eClub members can get a free special entrée on your birthday from any burger on the menu. That's right, you can reap the benefits weeks from now, whenever your birthday is. Or, if your birthday lands on National Cheeseburger Day, enjoy your cheeseburger day of ... and know that you were born on a very, very special day.

Burger King is offering two extra-long jalapeño cheeseburgers for just $5 until October 15.
